International Day of Peace

The whole school participated in the pinwheels for peace activity. I downloaded the template from the website and added words and sayings of peace on the other side. Each Grade decorated their pinwheel and then (with teachers help) they planted the pinwheels in the shape of a peace sign and it looked great!
Wishing you all Peace from Stepping Stones!

We had a glorious day for our spring walk. We all enjoyed a leasurely walk along the estury. Stopped at the jetty for lunch, checked out some glorious gardens and had some fun playing on the field. Trystenn and Conor found a whole lot of slugs a had fun introducing some of the girls to them - much squealing and laughter!

Cat's crossing!

Hubby and I then set off for Johannesburg for a friend's 60th - a great evening catching up with old friends! On Sunday we took the Gautrain to Sandton for lunch. Took a picture with  the birthday boy at Nelson Mandela's feet! Wow He is tall!
A lovely visit!
Looking forward to the last week of term, a 2 week break and then the last haul to the end of the year!
Wow time flies!

Projects

Usain is Jack's hero!

Wow the projects that the children produced are amazing - I was so impressed I asked them to present them to the rest of the school at assembly. They did this with pride!!! They are all keen to continue following the paralympics and are facinated by the various catagories. Of course we have to do a medal tally yet again and have chosen SA, GB, USA, China, Japan, Australia, NZ, France and Italy to follow. We record the medal tally every morning during Maths and the Maths Captain does all the work! We are also busy working on Arbor week this week and we are looking forward to our annual Spring walk on Friday in the beautiful Belvidere which is across the lagoon - lovely place ( Iwould love to live there).
