Water, water everywhere!

Can you believe it is Wednesday again! Today the children all brought in a bottle of water from various sources: River, lagoon, sea, borehole, still/spring, rain and tap. We added dishwashing liquid and shook them all up - great fun ( I just made sure all the lids were on tightly) We observed how much foam each type of water made and then left them to stand for a half an hour. We observed what had happened to the foam and then determined which types of waters were 'hard' and which were 'soft'. I took photos but unfortunately they are rather shaky and unclear! Will put on my glasses next time!

A rather busy week!

Yesterday the Grade two's went to meet the people from KFM and sang live on the radio - very exciting!
This was followed by a demonstration by 'Science Buddies' who wowed the kids with various experiments!
Today we went to the library to have a wetlands talk for 'World Wetlands Day' from the librarians.

We also managed to complete our 'Wanted Posters' (Had to be positive traits)
